Spicy duck drumsticks

Be prepared when you bite into our duck drumsticks, they may bite back. Glazed with our special spicy Nikosi sauce, and accompanied by sharp house-made blue cheese dip.

Chorizo shrimp

Trout fish cakes

Our trout and sole fish cakes are made fresh in-house, and served with a side of our horseradish-caper sauce and a creamy fennel-apple coleslaw.

Wild rice and quinoa salad

Also known as manoomin, wild rice was staple of the Anishinaabe diet. We mix our wild rice with quinoa, sheep’s milk feta, beets, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries and seasoned bannock croutons together in a salad that is exploding with tastes.

Nikosi poutine

You can measure a restaurant by its poutine, and our stands head and shoulders above the rest. Duck confit, cheese curds, homemade fries, and green peppercorn gravy, all topped with a handful of dried cranberries. Sweet, salty and delicious.

(+ stick with a traditional poutine $10.00)

Reuben-style boar hot dog

We bring our own inspiration to this classic, braising boar sausage in stout and serving it on a whole-grain baguette, topped with dijonnaise, homemade sauerkraut and Emmental cheese. Served with a side of our homemade fries and salad.

Boar burger

You won’t be bored with this burger. We grill a boar patty, nestle it on a multigrain kaiser bun alongside lettuce, tomato, smoked cheddar and caramelized onions, and top it with our own maple mayonnaise and pickles. Served with sweet potato fries and a salad.

Oven-cooked trout

Fresh trout cooked in the oven in a white wine sauce, served with a side of wild rice, quinoa, and dried blueberries, and accompanied by seasonal vegetables.

Steak frites

We marinate a 6 oz beef bavette, grill it to perfection, then top it with a delicious chimichurri sauce. And, of course, it wouldn’t be steak frites without the frites, so we heap a pile of our homemade fries alongside. We even add in a side salad so you can tell your mom that you ate your greens.

+ add wild mushrooms $1.50

Spaghetti with boar meatballs

On top of spaghetti, all covered with our homemade tomato sauce, you’ll find our boar meatballs. Hopefully you’re singing the campfire song by now. Once we add in a handful of fresh basil, freshly shaved parmesan, and bannock crostini, we’re sure you’ll at least be humming along.

The Hunter

With a name like this, you know it’s a serious dish. This creamy casserole starts with tagliatelle pasta, add in some beer-braised boar sausage, wild mushrooms, house-made maple cream and old cheddar sauce, and a helping of our amazing bannock crostini. One bite and you’ll know how it got its wild name.

Boar ribs

Few things can top our ½ rack of boar ribs. Made with our homemade maple-whiskey BBQ sauce, and served with our creamy fennel-apple coleslaw and homemade fries, it’s about as close to perfection as you can get.

Brunch menu

It’s not breakfast. It’s not lunch. It’s even better. Enjoy these favourites on weekends only, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
